ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's South Burlington, VT office is seeking an experienced Site/Civil Engineer to join our Land Development group. The successful candidate will work with our team of professionals to support all aspects of site/civil engineering for public and private site and infrastructure design, including grading and drainage design, utility design, and stormwater system design for projects ranging from renewable energy facilities , ski resort and recreational areas, infill housing development, transportation, and water quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities

Work within an integrated team of engineers, environmental scientists, and landscape architects in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude and public and private infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainability and resiliency
• Preparation of design plans from schematic design through construction documents
• Assist in the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents
• Technical and Design Report writing
• Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of professional site/civil engineering experience, including consulting/private sector experience
• EIT preferred
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required
• GIS, HydroCAD, and StormCAD experience a plus
• Experience preparing graphics and maps
