Position Purpose
To provide programmatic and operational support for Scholars programs in the office of Undergraduate Advising & Research (UGAR).
Description
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Associates plus 3+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to respond appropriately to pressures, deadlines, and changes in priorities and schedules
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and demonstrated ability to learn new computer systems and programs
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of a diverse population
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in event planning and management
  • Experience with financial processes and monitoring budgets

Serves as initial point of contact, independently managing program email accounts, responding to inquiries and making referrals as appropriate.

Manages program application processes including maintaining application forms, updating applicant databases, and coordinating notifications.

Organizes and maintains information systems including websites, online systems, process documentation and databases.

Manages communication and information distribution to students and faculty involved in the program.

Coordinates and executes logistics and set-up for events, assisting during events as necessary.
