Position Overview

Willo Labs is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience working with AWS and should be well-versed in designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in a software development environment.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code and containerization technologies for deploying and managing Python-based web frameworks such as Django or Flask in a production environment is required. Equivalent experience with other web frameworks such as Ruby-on-Rails, ASP.NET, etc. will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of performance and issues in production and implement solutions.
  • Design and implement AWS infrastructure using infra-as-code techniques with services such as ECS, EC2, IAM, RDS, SNS, and SQS.
  • Design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Maintain security and compliance of all AWS resources based on the NIST framework.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand their requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of Experience with AWS services including ECS, EC2, RDS, IAM, and S3.
  • Extensive experience with Terraform and deploying infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience deploying and optimizing web applications and frameworks, ideally Python and Django.
  • Experience with NIST 800-53 security controls and/or FedRAMP.
  • Experience with Docker and containerizing applications.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and experience with VPC, Security Groups, and Application Load Balancers.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certification: AWS or Security certifications preferred.
  • Work Hours: The position is primarily standard work hours but may need to work off hours for issue resolution or infrastructure work.
