Position Purpose | This role will serve as part of the team, under the leadership of the Director of Development for Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC), focused on identifying and engaging individuals who have an interest in providing philanthropic support for Dartmouth Cancer Center. The Associate Director will help to grow a pipeline of support through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a personal portfolio of prospects. The position will work closely with various members of the Medical and Healthcare Advancement and Dartmouth Cancer Center staff to help support philanthropic strategies and achieve various fundraising goals. |

Description | Fundraising * Under the direction of the Director of Development, DCC, works closely with advancement and clinical staff to identify fundraising priorities and articulate compelling cases for support. * Devises and implements donor-centric fundraising strategies to meet personal activity and revenue metrics through portfolio planning and moves management. * Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards a portfolio of ~125-175 patients, families, and community members with the capacity to make multi-year gift commitments to Dartmouth Cancer Center between $50,000 and $1 million. * Partners with the Friends of the Dartmouth Cancer Center to identify potential leadership and major gift donors and develop strategies for approach, qualification and solicitation. * Qualifies new potential major gift prospects to grow the solicitation pipeline for Dartmouth Cancer Center * Documents and records all activities as appropriate in fundraising databases. |

Description | Program & Planning Management * Engages in developing and supporting the execution of a comprehensive strategy to provide opportunities to cultivate, engage, and steward top prospects who have an interest in supporting the mission of Dartmouth Cancer Center. * In partnership with other members of the advancement team, develops materials, events and programming in support of fundraising objectives. * Participates as a development partner with physicians and nurses who are a part of the philanthropy training program. Attends trainings and one-on-one coaching sessions with assigned participants. * Produces and assists in the successful execution of a wide array of cultivation and stewardship events. |
