Position Purpose
The Administrative Assistant supporting the Dean of the College and Office of Greek Life plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of daily administrative tasks while cultivating a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • At least two years of office experience and in-depth knowledge of office procedures, with some degree of autonomy.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office products, and the ability to learn new programs and applications with training and/or on-line tutorials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail; strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of students and staff and faculty colleagues.
  • Able to collaborate with others to achieve results.
  • Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Greek Life, Student Affairs, or higher education.

Description
Administrative Assistance
  • Efficiently manages the calendars of the Dean and Associate Dean, coordinating appointments, meetings, travel, and events.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for the Dean's office, handling phone calls and welcoming guests to the suite.
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Office of Greek Life, ensuring smooth operations and streamlined workflows, including scheduling support for the Director, maintaining databases, managing the general email account, and overseeing general office functions.
  • Procures office supplies, submits work orders, and handles other administrative tasks as needed.

Communication
  • Serves as a reliable source of information for departmental policies, events, and initiatives, acting as a liaison between various offices.
  • Takes minutes during meetings and prepares them for distribution.
  • Organizes, tracks, and ensures successful follow-up on issues and projects.
  • Contributes to division-wide communications such as newsletters, and website maintenance.

* Coordinates and oversees all logistical aspects of meetings and special events, including conferences, dinners, luncheons, and retreats.
