Responsibilities

As an integral member of the Loan Operations Department, this position is mainly responsible for the review of loan documentation to determine HMDA, CRA and/or 1071 Reportable applicability.

Essential Duties:

  • Review all loans to determine HMDA, CRA and/or 1071 eligibility
  • Review loan documentation for completion of government monitoring to include income, property location, loan purpose, demographic information
  • Take appropriate action (when applicable) by contacting lending personnel for missing or incomplete information for information not gathered
  • Prepare input sheets, data enter, or upload proper coding into core system
  • Identify and report loan information not reported through automation to the Compliance Department
  • Verify all government monitoring information was keyed correctly on new loan(s) and in addition, any maintenance for prior corrections submitted
  • Write up and submit proper maintenance (when applicable) for each loan or maintenance correction
  • Refer major loan violations to the Supervisor for review
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with, all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion
  • Assist the Loan Operations Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals


Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree in business related field or equivalent work experience preferred

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail as well as proven organizational and analytical skills
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have basic to intermediate PC skills
  • Must be able to consistently demonstrate the Company's core values: a strong work ethic, integrity, respect for others, responsibility, transparency and humility

Experience:

  • Preference will be given to a candidate with at least one (1) year experience in banking and knowledge of lending products and services; as well as working knowledge of the required documentation for loan as they relate to the government monitoring requirements for the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), and/or Section 1071 for Small Business Lending under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA).


Other Job Information

Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
